Starting from this week, the Honey Bee children have been bringing in their favourite books from home to share with their peers, as part of our new Story Sharing Program 📚 This came about due to their growing interest in books and stories.

The overall purpose of this program is to celebrate books, authors and illustrators, whilst also promoting the importance of reading and the joy that children can find in it.

We are very much enjoying this shared experience, immersing ourselves into the stories and continuing our love for language and literacy.

Today the Baby Bees (0-1yrs), Little Bees (1-2yrs)

Today the Baby Bees (0-1yrs), Little Bees (1-2yrs), Bumble Bees (18m-3yrs), Honey Bees (2-3yrs), Junior Preschoolers (3-4yrs) and Senior Preschoolers (4-5yrs) participated in an African drumming experience, led by African Beats, Ghana-born master drummer Tuza, as part of our School Holiday Program. Not only were they introduced to different instruments and involved in singing and dancing experiences, they were also exposed to African culture.

The children had an immediate attraction to this experience due to it being high energy and interactive. During, they engaged in age-appropriate games, stories and rhythm activities, allowing energy release, encouraging social interaction and confidence building.
